Hotels in Gràcia
Gràcia was a separate village until the nineteenth century and never forgot it: tiny squares lived in from the terraces, its own festive calendar and a mix of grandmothers, students and filmmakers that is hard to find elsewhere in Europe.
Village rhythm
Life happens outside, in squares like the Sol or the Vila de Gràcia, without asking anyone's permission. Sleeping here means neighborhoods, not sightseeing — with the center two metro stops away.
Prices and space
Guesthouses and small hotels here often give more value than the old town, in quieter streets. The trade-off is the walk or ride to the big sights each morning.
August changes everything
During the Festa Major, each street decorates its stretch and the party runs for a week. Magical if you came for it; earplugs and a rear room if you didn't.
